The building with the HSBC branch in it is Causeway Bay Mansion and at the far end of the road (see first screencap) you can see Fairview Mansion (and a quick glimpse of Hyde Park Mansion if you look carefully) along Paterson Street. All of these buildings are still around, if a little tidier and with the ground floor units taken up by designer goods stores.

Hi there,
In the last screen the ally with shop sinage would soon become 'Food Street' with all sorts of restaurants lining the two sides. The HSBC branch would soon move to Paterson & Yee Wo, when the present day Hang Lung Centre was completed.
The barber shop on the ground level of Fairview Mansion would move up one level and half of the ground level space it previous occupied would become a Police Outpost.

Hi Thomas - so that's where Food Street was? I had heard about it but didn't know where it was. Cheers, Phil
Hi Phil,
Yes, there it was. Before Food Street there were shops selling fruits and vegetables there too. I could not recall most of them. I vaguely remember a shop selling fruits and vegetable, and then then building management office was there in the late 1960s. That was before the building management was offloaded to the individual building management committee.
I believe Hang Lung had been buying up units even before Diamaru retreated. Most of the street level store fronts are owned by Hang Lung these days.
