The location of the boss's (Dick Wei) house is a rather secluded small lane in the hills above Hebe Haven in Sai Kung. I have no idea who lived there at the time but they were kind enough to let the film crew blow out the lower windows during the film's finale. It's a location the film returns to time and again as the boss meets up with the killers to give them their new instructions. To channel (now, Sir) Loyd Grossman..."Who lives in a house like this?"

Great find, Phil. Saw this on a TV show not long ago and was wondering about its location. It might have been the TVB series Deadly Protection. It appears this house will be coming down though because there was an application to the Town Planning Board to redevelop the site.
I haven't seen this film in decades, but it appears from your screencaps that another rare right-hand drive Oldsmobile bites the dust. They got destroyed in several 1980s films, a real pity.
Hi Rodney, believe it or not a lamp post number helped me find this one haha
Phil, just wanted to let you know that if you ever wanted to see the abandoned property at 48 Mount Kellett Road on film, tomorrow is your chance. It seems mytvsuper Ch 80 has been showing Police Cadets 1988 a few times each day 9:35 AM, 2:45 PM and 8:55 PM. A shootout is filmed there in the last two episodes. Pretty sure it was the penultimate episode tomorrow though could be early in the Friday finale.
The house "Kellett Manor" was abandoned in the early 1980s and remained standing until 1991 on some works. The site was shown was Work In Progress March 1992 and the Sunshine Villa development was completed in 1996.
thanks for the heads up Rodney. Unfortunately I am in the UK for Easter at the moment and won't be back for a couple of weeks. worth remembering for future reference though...my experience is that properties rarely appear only once and it might easily pop up in another production somewhere.
