Love in Hong Kong - Pauline Teutscher (1983) - Hang Hau Road, Sai Kung

This one took quite some time to pin down because the background has changed so much since the film was made. To sum it up, the areas in this part of Sai Kung District now known as Po Lam, Hang Hau and Tseung Kwan O were still (back in 1983 when the film was shot) small bays that formed part of the larger Junk Bay. Starting from the late 1980s, reclamation has filled in a huge proportion of former sea area and created these three new residential areas. Development still going on even as I write this. Most people who are familiar with the Hong Kong of the halcyon movie days of the 1980s would be shocked to see how much has changed and not always for the better.

Anyway, all this is a roundabout way of saying this was a pain to find, but I finally located it on Hang Hau Road. The clincher was a brief glimpse in the last image of a small "turret" (I'm sure there is a proper architectural term for it but I initially thought it might be a chimney) with a cross on it which is still part of the roof of St Vincent's Church.
