Inter-Pol - Tang Ching (1967) - Wang Tau Hom Resettlement Estate

Agent 009 and his help, Huang Mao (Lee Kwan) follow the singer to the bank where she is picking up the fake cash left by her now dead boyfriend. However, she is killed as she leaves and 009 and co make off with the stash of notes with the bad guys in pursuit. One of the streets we see them driving down is Wang Tau Hom East Road in the old Wang Tau Hom Resettlement Estate. This place has since been turned into into the current Wang Tau Hom Estate (the Govt removed the "Resettlement" from the name of all the old estates that were subsequently redeveloped) and the whole area here is now more commonly known as Lok Fu. The same view today can be seen here.

Mad Mission 3: Our Man from Bond Street - Sam Hui (1984) - Lok Fu MTR Station, Kowloon

I'm not sure about the initial scene of the MTR exit, but the subsequent sequence, where Kingkong flies through the subway system on his airborne contraption, appear to have been filmed at Lok Fu MTR Station. As far as I am aware this is the only MTR station that has a green colour scheme with red stripes. I could be wrong so please feel free to correct me if so. Anyway, some more poor quality green screen SFX as commuters run in panic and stare in awe as the thing flies by. This takes me back to my first trip to Hong Kong, before the launch of the now ubiquitous Octopus card, when you had to buy single journey tickets or could get a stored value card. They were these flimsy plastic things. Wish I had kept all that stuff as a keepsake.

The Black Dragon's Revenge - Ronnie Van Clief (1975) - Lok Fu Park, Kowloon

After meeting up with someone they believe to be a journalist, the pair are then taken elsewhere so they can discuss the events surrounding Bruce's death inconspicuously. So the guy drives them to Lok Fu Park - located on what is perhaps better known as Checkerboard Hill - where they realise they have been set up as a bunch of goons appear.

This is actually one of my favourite locations from the film because I don't recall any other movie (that I've covered on the blog) using this location previously. The location itself remains unchanged even today with the exception of the usual tree growth that now limits the view. In the screen caps below though we can clearly see the old Wang Tau Hom Estate in the centre background down the hill. This area was redeveloped in the early 80s and much of the visible area you can see in the closer background has become Lok Fu MTR and surrounding area.
