Codename: Wildgeese - Lewis Collins (1984) - Clearwater Bay Golf Course, Clearwater Bay
On our second visit to this golf club we see the paymasters having a nice round of golf whilst the mercenaries are being shot at in the jungle. Although not the only golf course in HK, this one is perhaps the most recognisable due to its rather splendid surrounding scenery including nearby Po Toi O and High Junk Peak (the pointy hill seen in the top picture).

An ugly blot on the environment which caused no end of problems when it first opened on 16th December 1982, just a year or so before this would have been filmed.
Of course the rich wanted somewhere to escape the poor and be condescending in like-minded company, so the environmental harm was a secondary consideration.
But the locals hated the golf club because every time it rained, tons of silt washed down into Po Toi O and killed the fish in their fish farms. They also felt it wrecked the fung shui of their ancestral grave sites.
And then, of course, there was the downright-ugliness of the newly chunam-clay coated slopes lining the access road to the golf course, which annoyed just about everyone other than the golfers.
That malcontent eventually manifested itself in the intentional arson of the club's maintenance building, where all of their golf carts and machinery were stored. So it might've been a relatively brand-new club when this was filmed, but it already had a storied history. ;)
