Transformers: Age of Extinction - Mark Wahlberg (2014) - Central, Hong Kong

While we're on the subject of CGI fakery, I may as well start looking at the fourth installment of the Transformer series. The second half of the film was largely set in HK and it caused quite a stir when the crew were over (at the end of 2013) thanks to the shenanigans of some locals who took exception to being away when monetary compensation for the use of a building was being discussed. The director, Michael Bay, was in fact attacked by an air conditioning wielding psychopath and his brother and it made the local news (along with another extortion attempt in Kowloon a few days later). We'll get to the locales in question in later posts, but in the meantime here is a nice shot - seemingly undoctored - over Central as the location is established.
