Welcome to my blog about filming locations in Hong Kong and Macau where I do deep dives into the (sometimes most insignificant) filming locations from overseas and local movie and TV productions.

This blog started life circa 2008 on a Livespace (Oriental Sweetlips - named after a fish, by the way), before moving to Wordpress and then Blogger. This current version is Blogger v.2 because I stupidly deleted the original in the summer of 2022 - just a few thousand short of my millionth hit. Such is life.

Anyway, understanding that in amongst the general noise of the blog there are some significant discoveries that may or may not be of use to Hong Kong historians (film or otherwise) in the future, and some that have disproven long-running/well-established assumptions about certain locations and movies, I feel duty bound to continue. Plus I'm a nerd at heart and this stuff fascinates me.

As a result of the Blogger domain change (they wouldn't let me restore under the original one) quite a few links will be incorrect as they still point to the old site URLs and I am slowly getting around to fixing them. However, if you replace the initial hongkongandmacaufilmstuff with hkmacaufilmtvlocations then this should work for most of them.
