After following April around, Jack is also tailed by a mystery man with a bald head (Andrew Ng), who follows him from the alleyway onto Cameron Road.

The Merry Wife - Li Ching (1971) - Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

After riding up and then down Nathan Road, the next shot we see of the motorcycle is as it makes its way away from the camera along Cameron Road.

Desperate Mission - Germán Cobos (1965) - Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

Hanoi Road turns immediately into Cameron Road as Z55 follows the girl to a bar that might be familiar to regular readers. Su Ling walks past the Kobe Bar and goes straight to the big red doors of the Cherry Bar at 24 Cameron Road.

We Owe It to Our Children - Cheung Wood-yau (1955) - Telephone House, Cameron Road

I referred to another building in my last post and although the official address of the Telephone Building was Nathan Road, the entrance we see below is on Cameron Road. This is the office where Cheung Wood-yau supposedly works and there is an establishing sequence that pans up the front of the building from street level before we see him sitting inside his (studio set) office. The building had a distinctive art deco rooftop clocktower. It was demolished sometime in the 1970s to make way for the faux temple style HSBC building that now stands on the plot. The screen shots are in reverse order (because the sequence starts at ground level and pans up) but the Autostitch panorama below it probably does a better job. At the time of filming I believe the building contained a UK department store called "Whiteaways" but I'm not sure how many floors it occupied.

Election - Simon Yam (2005) - Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

After they have decided to work together, both Lok and Big D stand on a rooftop in TST and look down and boast about how much money they will make by working together. The rooftop in question belongs to Majestic House - it's the building that occupies the southern corner spot at the junction of Cameron and Nathan Roads, so the road they are looking down on in the first image is Cameron Road looking east.

Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong - Jamie Chung (2015) - Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui

There are a fair number of nice shots interspersed in the dialogue and as the two are walking back from Hankow Road, just before they head over to Hong Kong Island, we get this brief glimpse of the Cameron centre that stands on the corner of Cameron Road and Chatham Road South.

Felicity - Glory Annen (1978) - Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

This is a shot of Cameron Road from the side just before Cameron lane. It seems as though Tom Lee has been in the area for quite some time.

The next image is back to the junction with Carnarvon Road, instead this time we are continuing to look along Cameron Road towards the east from the junction. I have no idea what a "Taior" is but I am sure Henry was great at it.

Stoner - George Lazenby (1974) - Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

The bar where Stoner goes to investigate the "happy pill" was the Hawaii Bar at 56 Cameron Road (location courtesy of Vanessa's bar card found here). The block it was in is called Long Kee Mansion and is still around, although the bar has long disappeared from the scene.

Foxbat - Henry Silva (1977) - Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

I'm sure there is someone who knows the exact spot this was filmed on given the appearance of the "Cameron Photo Supplies" sign in the background, however, it looks like this was towards the Chatham Road South-end of Cameron Road given the fact that in the second screen grab you can clearly see the Park Hotel on the opposite side of the street.

This scene was actually cut from the Bluray version, so I have no better screencaps to update it with and will just leave it as it is.

Sunset - Paul Chin Pei (1971) - Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui

One final delve into the Sunset vaults before I move on to the next film. This one is fairly incidental and I wouldn't have bothered for the fact that we catch a quick glimpse of the Park Hotel on the corner of Chatham and Cameron. The view is through a windscreen as well (very similar to this shot from Bons Baisers De Hong Kong) so the view is only fleeting and a bit dark. The hotel (which is still around by the way) is the one with the vertical slats behind the rear view mirror.

Bons Baisers de Hong Kong - Les Charlots (1975) - Park Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui

The next location is not the best in terms of visibility because the film only shows it from inside a car looking out but it's worth including because it's still around. It's the Park Hotel on the corner of Cameron and Chatham Road South. The hotel was opened in 1961 and so is only one of a few remaining 60's era hotels that is still around.

In the film the car we are in turns into Cameron Road from Chatham Road South so we see the curved front of the hotel and the lower section that fronts that road.

Five Golden Dragons - Bob Cummings (1967) - Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

Here's an interesting shot taken along Cameron Road in TST. If you are eagle-eyed enough you should be able to make out lots of common elements with the following scene from Gambit. The Gambit scene was shot from the other direction looking towards us here, but there are all the same signs for places such as the Cherry Bar and Kobe Bar etc.

Gambit - Shirley MacLaine (1966) - Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

Well, after following her slowly in the car, we see Shirley's body double arrive at her destination. It's the Cherry Bar and many thanks to Doug Price who identified the location of that particular bar (and several others) for me earlier in the year: 24 Cameron Road (and the Kobe Bar next to it at #26)

The site these days is occupied by a building called the - perhaps rather aptly - Eastern Flower Centre. Anyway, I've attempted to recreate the same angle below with Streetview. Just to be clearer, the old Kobe Bar was situated in the area now occupied by the black entrance to the right of the bank. The Cherry Bar, with its big red doors, was immediately next door under the red sign next door. Sadly both now gone.

Yellowthread Street (TV Series) - Bruce Payne (1990) - Chatham Road South, Kowloon

Another aerial shot from Key Witness. This one holds some interest because it shows the land being formed for what became the Science and History museums in East Tsim Sha Tsui. The first picture below gives us a nice angle on the Park Hotel as well - that's the curved grey-coloured building that sits on the corner of Cameron Road. It's one of TST's older hotels, being built in the 1960's, and is still going strong...for the time being at least.

The cluster of buildings on this side of Chatham Road South are still around and host a variety of office and commercial premises. The one most prominent (centre right) is Energy Plaza and fans of 80's HK movies will realise this is the building that Michael Wong was dangling from in Royal Warriors. The upper floors also used to house a gym and training facility patronised by many stars of yesteryear and run by a fellow called Eddie Maher. I'm not sure when it closed down - possibly sometime in the early to mid-90's?

On the right hand side is the bare piece of land that now holds the aforementioned museums. Strictly speaking that particular patch of land now houses the small park that leads up to the museums. I know the History museum moved here in 1998, and considering this aerial view was most likely taken in 1989 or thereabouts I'm not sure why it took so long for the site to be completed. Actually, on second thoughts that sounds exactly like HK.

I Spy (TV Series) - Robert Culp (1965) - Neon Montage, Kowloon

Okay, not my typical post here and I was struggling with what to do with it because it involves a sequence in the Carry Me Back To Old Tsing Tao episode where we have a montage of nighttime neon filling the screens, made up of multiple locations and identifiable, pretty much, only by the signs themselves. So anyway, I figured it would be fun for some if I put them all up here in one post and say where I think they are and then anyone can chip in and give me any more places they recognise.

Here's the first, which I know - courtesy of the Fourseas, Singer and Rodania signs on the right - features the junction of Nathan and Austin Roads at the northern end of Tsim Sha Tsui. But what about those other signs? Tokyo Night Bar, Tokyo Night Inn? As we locate these places I'll add them to the list of labels at the bottom.

Here is a shot of that part of Nathan Road from the 1960's showing the same signs, but in daylight (Courtesy of the excellent book 香港走過的街道). Incidentally, the building that now occupies the site on the right is still called the Fourseas building and it sits between Austin Road and Tak Shing Street.

Then we appear to move down the road (past the Singer sign) and can see the Pink Lady Bar. I believe the Pink Lady Bar was located on Hankow Road further to the south.

Pink Lady Bar also reveals Dawson & Co behind it and well as Y.K Ma Furniture and Antiques. Can you spot anymore? Where was (and what was) Dawson & Co? Perhaps it was the same tailors that can still be found in HK, if so, where were they located in 1965? Y.K Ma on the other hand seems to be a famous name in the antique business and I found a reference that calls him legendary here. Sadly, my knowledge of this are is non-existent, so if there are any informed antique people out there who know where Y.K Ma's business was based in 1965, please leave a comment.

So what else do we have? Another junction - but this time I'm not sure it's the Nathan/Austin one, perhaps Nathan/Jordan Rd? Anyway, it has the HK Silk Centre along there as well as some signs I can't read.

And then that scene merges with one a bit easier to identify...the Tai Pak Seafood floating restaurant. If you want to read some interesting details of the Tai Pak then go to the comments section of this post I did a few years ago. But this version is unquestionably the one at Aberdeen.

Next up, we have the Kobe Bar, Cherry Bar. After covering Gambit on this blog, I now know that they were actually right next to each other. For proof you can checkout this Gambit post. There also looks to be the (rather dim by comparison) sign for Mandarin Garments at the top right. I've found references to a Mandarin Garments Factory, but this wasn't registered until 1969, several years after this episode was filmed. So where was this one, perhaps Cameron Road as well?

Last but not least we have the final two images showing the New Savoy Bar and the Oriental Pearl Night Club and Bar. Now I have found a reference to both the Savoy Bar (on Granville Road) and the New Savoy Plaza (on Prat Avenue), but no reference to the New Savoy Bar. So information welcome. As for the Oriental Pearl Night Club and Bar - well, the companies register has notes to this place opening in 1964 and closing in 1969, but not mention of the location. However, I was lucky enough to stumble across this photo which shows it next to Rikki's Bar, the latter I believe was located on corner of Cameron and Carnarvon Roads. So it looks like it was on Cameron Road.
