Police Force - Wang Chung (1973) - Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui
We switch back to a real location again as the police chase the robbers away and the pursuit spills out onto Chatham Road South. The arched building in the background is St Mary's Canossian College. In the last image you can see one of the Nissen Huts from the Chatham Road Camp.

Police Force - Wang Chung (1973) - Kimberley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
So Wong, now a detective, spends the next few years seeking out thugs to arrest to try and find the man who killed Liang Kuan. First up is a couple of thugs who rob a foreign exchange shop. Supposedly in Tsim Sha Tsui. Actually, the shop location was a part of the Movietown complex, but the scene was edited together with the real location of the junction of Kimberley Road and Austin Avenue. That's the view we can see in the image. Interestingly, on the right hand side is the sign for a pharmacy called Kim Bun Dispensary. It's still there today, after 50+ years! In the film, the robbery is supposedly going on behind the camera.

Police Force - Wang Chung (1973) - Peking Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
We are first shown the nefariousness of the main bad guy, Kao Tu (Wang Kuang-yu) when he and his buddy steal a car from a carpark in Tsim Sha Tsui. The top image shows the view along Peking Road looking towards Nathan Road, so it's worth noting some well known landmarks including the Red Lips bar, Club Tasagore, Club Danshoku, and on the left hand side a yellow sign for the former Restaurant Yamato - located up on the corner of Ashley Road and I Chang Street. The red line on that sign is obviously an arrow pointing up Ashley Road. Bruce Lee fans may remember that Lee worked out his fight scene with Sammo Hung on Enter the Dragon on bits of paper from the restaurant. They used to be on display at the Heritage Museum but it's a good ten years since I went so will have to go back to confirm if they're still there.
I digress. The carpark was created when a row of old Chinese tenements along Peking Road were demolished. Gwulo has an entry for them here. The carpark was later removed (along with a whole section of buildings by the former Marine Police HQ) to make way for Kowloon Park Drive.

Police Force - Wang Chung (1973) - Police Training School, Wong Chuk Hang
I did send a couple of screenshots to a former Marine Policeman (Les Bird - please check out his latest book from Blacksmith Books) and he reminisced about marching around the very same parade ground during his training, not too long after this film was made.
