The last comparison images from my brief sojourn in July into Macau is from Guia Fort. One of the best value things to do is to ride up Guia hill in the little cable car. It's dirt cheap and is a welcome relief from the summer heat (it was sweltering when we were there). Make sure you check out the small tunnels under the fort as well. The comprison shots I'm using here are from Challenge of the Tiger, filmed in 1982.

The Last Time I Saw Macao - João Rui Guerra da Mata (2012) - Fortaleza da Guia, Macau
It doesn't really feature in the story other than as some background filler for the night time fireworks towards the end of the movie, but there are a few shots of the Guia Lighthouse. The bottom image was filmed from outside the Escola Leng Nam (Ling Nan Middle School) on Estrada dos Parses.

Isabella - Isabella Leong (2006) - Fortaleza da Guia, Macau
Not the first time this place has appeared on the blog, although I am surprised I haven't seen it more often given its prominence in Macau and the fact that it's one of the more popular tourist locations. Anyway, this is where the pair go for a bit of bonding and they go inside the lightnhouse and look through the lens.

Challenge of the Tiger - Bruce Le (1982) - Guia Fortress, Macau
The finale of the film - the big assault on the bad guy's HQ - like the images of the HQ itself, is a combination of several locations both in HK and Macau. We've already featured Monte Fort as a location and some of the action goes on there, but there are three other locations that were also used (I have no idea why but suspect budget and/or time constraints came into play).
The first location we will look at is the Guia Fortress in Macau. It's identified by the famous lighthouse that sits at the top of the hill and most of the action takes place around the cluster of buildings by the lighthouse.
