A quick glimpse of Deepwater Bay courtesy of Love is a Many-Splendored Thing. It appears just after the beach scene.
Modern visitors to Ocean Park will be familiar with the darker (nearer) ridge line because it's where the famous Ocean Park cable car runs along the side of the water. The hills in the far distance are in fact part of Lamma Island, the furthest one being Mt Stenhouse. Here is a modern day attempt to recapture (almost - as you can see I took the snap a bit more to the left) the same angle. Well, anyway, you get the idea.

Thanks for the info. We just visited HK and saw Repulse Bay and Deepwater Bay. I hoped to see the same sights as in the movie.
Glad to help. Unfortunately, HK has changed so much since the 1950s. Hope you enjoyed your trip anyway.
